“Forgiving Paris” by Karen Kingsbury features a cover that’s both melancholic and striking. A lone red umbrella lies on a rainy Parisian street, leading the eye straight to the iconic Eiffel Tower in the background. The monochrome setting with just the pop of red from the umbrella makes it feel like a scene from an old romantic movie where everything went heartbreakingly wrong. As someone who usually deals with more uplifting matters, I can say that even though this cover pulls at the heartstrings, it sure makes you curious about the story within. I might need to pack some tissues and a warm blanket if I ever dive into this one, but maybe not during my vacation time!
JABBIC Rating: ★★★★☆
Summary: “Forgiving Paris” by Karen Kingsbury has a beautifully somber cover that draws you into a story of love, loss, and possibly a lot of rain.
