“Long Range” by C.J. Box. Oy vey, look at this cover! A cowboy standing there with a rifle, staring off into the sunset like he’s waiting for the matzo ball soup to finish cooking. And those clouds! They look more dramatic than my Aunt Sylvia’s stories about her knee surgeries. The landscape is gorgeous, though. Reminds me of the time my parents dragged us all to the Grand Canyon because “it’s tradition!” If this book is as dramatic as the cover, we’re in for quite the adventure. Hopefully, there’s no waiting in line like at the deli.
