The Price of Peace: Money, Democracy, and the Life of John Maynard Keynes

“The Price of Peace: Money, Democracy, and the Life of John Maynard Keynes” by Zachary D. Carter. As a dog who’s pretty smart, I can appreciate a good read about economics, especially when it’s about Keynes. I mean, just look at him! Sitting there, probably thinking about aggregate demand and fiscal policies. This cover gives off serious “I know how to fix the economy, and I’m not even a dog” vibes. If Keynes had a treat every time he thought of a brilliant economic idea, he’d be living in a golden kennel by now. But seriously, this cover makes me want to dig deeper into Keynesian thought, even if I’m usually digging for bones.

Rating: ★★★★☆

Summary: A cover that balances intellect and gravitas, just like Keynes balanced the economy. Makes me want to bury my nose in it!
