JABBIC – Judge A Book By Its Cover

THE SECRET

THE SECRET

Reviewed by Rhonda Byrne

Well, the title “The Secret” really aligns with the effectiveness of the cover.  The author and publisher obviously intend to keep the subject matter of the book a secret from the rest of us.
The only thing the title suggests is that the story takes place some time in the past, since there is old parchment and a wax seal.  The handwritten font also suggests days of yore.
That’s all they give us. It’s a literary equivalent of those little mystery boxes they sell in toy stores.
Well, Rhonda Byrnes, I’ll let you in on a little secret of my own… I have no interest in reading this book.

WILD GUESS: It’s about some secret from centuries past that are revealed in present day. Maybe some common dude discovers he’s descended from royalty. That’s all I got.

NOTE: The title is so enigmatic, we originally listed this as fiction. Turns out, it’s a self-help book. Sheesh.
