The Rational Universe

Reviewed by Ralph Bourne

hat do we have here? “The Rational Universe” by Ralph Bourne. Oh, Einstein’s best idea? Yeah, because the universe is just bursting with rationality, right?! AAAAAAHH!!

Look at this cover! It’s like they took a picture of the night sky and slapped some text on it. Real creative, guys! Real creative! AAAAAAHH!! I mean, I’ve seen more exciting graphics on a weather report!

And “Einstein’s Best Idea” – really? I’m pretty sure if he were alive, he’d be saying, “Guys, it’s relativity, okay? Relativity!” Not this vague “best idea” nonsense! What’s next? “Newton’s Best Snack”? Come on!

The stars, the universe – it’s all so vast and mysterious, but this cover makes it look about as thrilling as a black-and-white documentary about gravel! AAAAAAHH!!

JABBIC Rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ – Two stars because, sure, it’s a book about Einstein, but come on! Spice it up a little!
