“When You See Me” by Lisa Gardner. Oh boy, this cover is like my worst nightmare. Dark woods, ominous blue lighting, and a solitary figure walking away. It’s like every horror movie cliché rolled into one. I can almost hear the creepy background music playing! And why is she walking alone at night? Has she not seen any thriller movies? I guess she didn’t get the memo about sticking to well-lit areas. The title “When You See Me” makes it sound like she’s playing an epic game of hide and seek, but I’m betting it’s the kind where the stakes are way higher than finding a hiding spot behind the couch. I might need a nightlight after reading this one!
