“The Plot” by Jean Hanff Korelitz. Now, this cover has me intrigued and a bit confused, which is quite the combo. The title, “The Plot,” is carved out like a garden bed, and I’m half expecting some vegetables to start growing out of it. It’s got a sky and some grass in there, which makes me wonder if we’re talking about a plot of land or a plot of a book. Or maybe both? Stephen King says it’s “insanely readable,” which makes me question his definition of sane. As someone who has given a fair share of sermons, I appreciate a good plot twist, but this cover is a plot unto itself. Let’s just hope this plot doesn’t lead to any divine mysteries I’m not ready to solve!
Rating: ★★★★☆
Summary: An intriguing and visually clever cover that promises a multi-layered narrative. It’s the kind of plot you might need divine intervention to fully unravel.
