Okay, so the cover of “Dominicana” by Angie Cruz looks like it’s straight out of an artsy cartoon! I love the bold colors—it’s like my box of crayons exploded on this book. The girl in the window with her fan looks like she’s having a hot day. I mean, I get it, sometimes I just want to stick my head in the freezer too!

The title “Dominicana” makes me think of tropical places and cool music. Maybe she’s dreaming of dancing in the streets with a piña colada? Or maybe she’s stuck inside like me when I have too much homework. Either way, this cover is super cool and makes me want to know her story.
