Not a Sound

Reviewed by Heather Gudenkauf

“Not a Sound” by Heather Gudenkauf is giving off major “silence is deadly” vibes, and boy, it looks intense. The cover features a woman underwater, which, frankly, is the most challenging place to stay silent. As a man of the cloth, I’ll admit that keeping quiet has never been my strong suit—try staying silent through an entire sermon! This thriller seems to promise a gripping story where every sound could be the last, and if it’s anything like my attempts at silence, expect a lot of thrilling twists and turns.
