Ghosts of Honolulu

Reviewed by Mark Harmon

“Ghosts of Honolulu”—sounds eerie, right? The cover’s got this old plane, smoke, drama. It’s got the vibe of a wartime thriller. Mark Harmon, yeah, the guy from ‘NCIS,’ and a retired NCIS agent, diving into spies and Pearl Harbor. Fascinating, but a bit intense for my taste. and let’s be honest, life’s already filled with enough drama.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ Summary: Smoky, dramatic, wartime vibes. Interesting, but a bit too intense. Where’s the light-hearted twist?

  1. A U.S. naval counterintelligence officer working to safeguard Pearl Harbor; a Japanese spy ordered to Hawaii to gather information on the American fleet. On December 7, 1941, their hidden stories are exposed by a morning of bloodshed that would change the world forever. Scrutinizing long-buried historical documents, NCIS star Mark Harmon and co-author Leon Carroll, a former NCIS Special Agent, have brought forth a true-life NCIS story of deception, discovery, and danger.
