“Go the F**k to Sleep” by Adam Mansbach —well, I must say, the title alone is enough to make a reverend clutch his pearls. But let’s take a step back and appreciate this cover. The serene illustration of a child peacefully sleeping with a family of tigers under the full moon is oddly calming, even if the words are a bit, shall we say, jarring. It’s an interesting juxtaposition, one that every weary parent might understand all too well. The message is clear, though perhaps a tad unorthodox. This book’s cover is a testament to the struggles of bedtime, capturing the exhaustion and desperation that many parents feel. I can’t condone the language, but I can certainly understand the sentiment behind it.
Rating: ★★★★☆
