“Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell. Well, this cover is… something else. We’ve got a kid here with a feather for an eyebrow. Is this some kind of old-school beauty trend? And what’s up with the serious look? Lighten up, buddy! You know, back in my day, a tough look like that could mean one thing: someone’s about to arm wrestle. But I guess if you’re dealing with the plague, you’d be a bit moody too. Honestly, it’s a bit classy for my taste. Where’s the action? The explosions? But hey, it’s got that New York Times seal, so it must be good, right?
Rating: ★★★★☆
Summary: A curious and somewhat mysterious cover that teases a serious, highbrow story. Feather eyebrow, though? That’s new to me!
