“One Italian Summer” by Rebecca Serle, immediately makes you feel like you’re about to embark on a dreamy Mediterranean getaway. The watercolor effect of the cover is as refreshing as a gelato on a hot day. The title’s handwritten font adds a touch of casual elegance, like a postcard from a friend who’s living their best life in Positano. However, the vibrant hues might be trying a bit too hard to convince us that this book is a vacation in itself. Overall, it’s charming, but let’s hope the story isn’t all fluff and no substance, much like an overhyped Instagram travel photo.
Rating: ★★★★☆ Summary: A visually appealing cover that promises an escapist summer read, though it might be a tad too picturesque.
