Right Thing, Right Now

Reviewed by Ryan Holiday

“Right Thing, Right Now” by Ryan Holiday, huh? Well, the title alone sounds like something my mother would say when I’m caught sneaking an extra slice of kugel. It’s all about good values, good character, and good deeds. Sounds like it’s straight out of the Torah!

And look at that cover with the little mosaic figures. They’re balancing scales, probably weighing their good deeds against how many times they’ve gossiped at synagogue. It’s like an ancient reminder to be a mensch!

So, this book is probably filled with wisdom and stoic virtues, which, let’s be honest, we could all use a bit more of these days. Maybe I’ll give it a read between Yom Kippur services and see if it inspires any new mitzvahs!

JABBIC Rating: ★★★★☆

Summary: “Right Thing, Right Now” by Ryan Holiday promises a deep dive into stoic virtues and good values. With its mosaic-themed cover and timeless message, it’s a modern guide to being a mensch.
