The Nurse’s Secret

Reviewed by Amanda Skenandore

‘The Nurse’s Secret’ by Amanda Skenandore. A nurse standing with her back to us, staring out a window at some foggy, historical city scene. There’s an old ambulance carriage outside, which just screams, “Oh, great, more trouble on the way.” Inside, the room is all gloom and iron beds – just the perfect setting for a mystery, or maybe a horror movie. The nurse’s uniform is so starched and proper, it’s practically begging to be wrinkled by some scandal.

Everything’s bathed in this moody light, trying to whisper, “Secrets, secrets, secrets.” And the title? “The Nurse’s Secret.” Real subtle, huh? Amanda Skenandore clearly wants you to know there’s more going on than meets the eye.

So, if Victorian drama and eerie hospital settings are your thing, this cover is practically begging you to pick it up. Just don’t expect any lighthearted fun.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ Summary: “The Nurse’s Secret” sets up a moody, mysterious atmosphere with its historical setting and somber visuals. Ideal for fans of dark, dramatic tales – just don’t expect any sunshine or rainbows.
