This book cover gets no respect, no respect at all! We’ve got a lady walking down the stairs, but you only see her back. What’s she hiding? Is it a mystery, or did she just forget to put on her makeup?

And look at that dress! She’s wearing gloves that go up to her elbows. Is she heading to a fancy ball or just really afraid of fingerprints? Who knows?

The title, “The Second Life of Mirielle West.” What happened to her first life? Was it that bad she needed a do-over? I can relate, I tell ya, I can relate.

And Amanda Skenandore, author of “Between Earth and Sky.” Well, I hope this book is better than hanging out between Earth and Sky – you know, where you get no respect!
