The Stranger in the Lifeboat

Reviewed by Mitch Albom

“The Stranger in the Lifeboat” by Mitch Albom has a cover that makes me feel like I should start planning a sermon about moonlit reflections and unexpected saviors. Look at that tiny lifeboat under a massive full moon! It’s like the moon is watching over them, or maybe just judging their rowing skills. I’m imagining this book is about a group of people who find themselves stuck in the middle of the ocean, and just when they think they’re goners, a mysterious stranger shows up. Is he a miracle? A figment of their imagination? Or just really good at hitchhiking in the high seas? Either way, I bet it’s a story of faith, hope, and possibly the dangers of not packing enough snacks for a boat trip.

JABBIC Rating: ★★★★☆
