Oy vey, “War: How Conflict Shaped Us” by Margaret MacMillan! This cover screams drama, doesn’t it? The big, bold “WAR” and the soldiers charging into battle—it’s like a scene out of a very intense Yom Kippur sermon. But let’s be honest, while conflict might shape us, I much prefer shaping my kugel. This book looks like it’s ready to take us on a rollercoaster of human history and emotions. Let’s just hope we have some matzo ball soup to calm our nerves afterwards!
Rating: ★★★★★
Summary: Bold, dramatic, and definitely not your grandmother’s history book. Be prepared for a wild ride through human conflict!
