“Whale Day: And Other Poems” by Billy Collins. Wow, this cover is something else! I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a marine biologist after seeing a majestic whale swimming through a fiery sky? It’s like Free Willy meets Dante’s Inferno. As a kid, I always wanted to be a marine biologist, and this cover is making me rethink my career choices. The whale looks so calm, just gliding through the air like it’s no big deal. I wonder if whales have existential crises too, like, “Why am I in the sky?” Anyway, if the poems are as epic as this cover, we’re in for a treat.
