JABBIC – Judge A Book By Its Cover

Zero Fail

Zero Fail

First off, kudos on the massive font for “Zero Fail” – no second-guessing what this book is called.  The subtitle pretty clearly suggests that this book is going to be an in depth criticism of the Secret Service. Considering recent events. I’d think this would be an interesting read.   The images has two agents on a rooftop — and from the distance they are pretty small and unintimidating looking. I can imagine so many more dramatic images of the Secret Service in action — here they appear modestly alert at best. It’s an odd choice of images, but I think it works well. . And then there’s Carol Leonnig’s name, prominently featured, with that Pulitzer Prize flex. This cover screams, “Get ready for some deep, potentially unsettling truths.” Works for me.
